Goal setting is a mainstay in the personal development space. Talk to self-development enthusiasts and you will hear many variations. What is right? Understanding how the subconscious is predominantly the firing sequences of neural pathways, and much of human conditioning occurs between ages 0-7, its easy to see how we can overplay the “we are all the same”. We may be the same but our conditioning can make us very different.
In this Episode, I talk about the biggest areas in the Myers Briggs Type Indicator and apply those principles to goal setting. In the end, we should be testing for ourselves to see what actually works. I make a further distinction in the difference between goals in a familiar landscape versus creation goals where we are building something in a field of infinite possibility. Understanding your strengths and preferences could change how you approach goal setting.
